Having successfully completed a series of exam essays, Sarah Strong, Senior Associate in our Private Client team, is now a full STEP member.
STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) is a global professional body, comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures.
The organisation’s mission is to inspire confidence in families planning their assets across generations by setting and upholding high professional standards, informing public policy, promoting education, and connecting practitioners globally to share knowledge and best practice.
Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.
“We are very pleased and proud that Sarah has completed all necessary steps to become a full STEP member,” says Partner Joseph Oates. “It will give our clients an additional layer of expertise when talking to our Private Client team about planning for their future.”
Sarah has been part of our Private Client team since 2014 and assists clients with the preparation of Wills and advises on Inheritance Tax, including supporting executors. She also advises and assists clients in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney and deals with making applications to the Court of Protection, where a relative has lost the capacity to manage their own affairs. Recently her role has expanded to include more technical Wills for business owners.
“I really enjoyed expanding my knowledge while studying for my STEP qualification and am very proud to be a TEP,” Sarah says.
