She became a Partner last year and, in the recent Table Talk with Lisa Connolly and Glen Webb, explained: “When I came here for my interview, I immediately just felt at home and that’s never changed. I thought ‘this is me’. Becoming a Partner was part of the dream when I started out as a paralegal. Now, I feel more involved with the decision making, strategy and management of the firm, which I’m enjoying.”
Sarah assists clients with the preparation of Wills and advises on Inheritance Tax, including supporting executors. She also advises and assists clients in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney and deals with making applications to the Court of Protection, where a relative has lost the capacity to manage their own affairs. She also has expertise in more technical Wills for business owners.
Sarah is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners); the global professional body, comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures. She is also a Council member of the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and District Law Society.
Over the years, Sarah has thrown herself into a number of our charity challenges. She is the only member of TeamCB to have taken part in every Walk Tonbridge Marathon and, last year, completed the Race To The King – walking an incredible ultra-marathon distance of 100km in one go!
“CooperBurnett has always had a really good ethos of wanting to give back,” she says. “Even if team members aren’t doing the challenge themselves, they get involved. When I took part in the Race To The King, the messages we received along the way and the support was incredible and helped to bring everyone together.”
