The charity event – which began and finished at The Mount Edgcumbe - was held to raise money for Citizens Advice Tunbridge Wells & District and it formed part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of Citizens Advice providing a service to local people in the town and surrounding areas. There was even a birthday cake to mark the occasion. The event raised over £4,000.
Citizens Advice Tunbridge Wells & District provides the ‘advice people need for the problems they face’.
In addition to the walk, CooperBurnett already supports the charity in a practical way, as Partner Gemma Gillespie volunteers for Citizens Advice in Tunbridge Wells one afternoon each month, offering advice on family matters.
“As a firm we always make a point of sending a team along to take part in the Tunbridge Wells Legal Walk,” says property litigation Partner John Spence, who was recently elected to the Council of the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & District Law Society. “We know that Citizens Advice provides a vital service here in Tunbridge Wells and it’s great that the legal community in our town comes together in this way to support them each year.”
