Oliver joined the Commercial Property team as a Partner in 2023, having worked at another regional firm since 2015.
He has almost 20 years’ experience in planning law, having trained and practised at Mills & Reeve. Oliver spent five years working in-house for Kent County Council as a planning and highways lawyer and has developed a strong grounding in commercial property since his return to the private sector in 2015. Oliver’s planning law work focuses on s106 agreements and undertakings at application and appeal stage; negotiating associated infrastructure agreements; varying planning consents; and obtaining certificates of lawfulness. He also advises on contentious planning matters.
His commercial property work includes negotiating overage arrangements; options; conditional contracts; and promotion agreements, as well as general landlord and tenant work where he acts for a number of institutional landlords. He advises corporate clients on their tenancy acquisitions.
When he’s not at work, Oliver enjoys cooking, cycling and travel.
