Natalie Lai joined our Corporate and Commercial team in May 2023. She trained in Hong Kong before moving to the UK in August 2022 and joined us from a national firm in Leeds. Natalie is qualified as a solicitor in both Hong Kong and England & Wales.
Natalie brings with her experience in corporate and commercial law, specialising in private M&A, corporate restructuring, general commercial practice (such as advising on commercial agreements and business transactions), company administration and governance, employee incentive schemes, shareholders agreements, T&Cs and more.
Before embarking on her legal career, Natalie worked in the Hong Kong tax authority for over seven years as an Assistant Assessor, specialising in tax audits and investigations, as well as individual taxes. She holds non-practising memberships in CPA (HK), ACCA (UK) and ACA(UK).
Natalie speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
When Natalie isn’t at work, she enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures - whether it be sampling local cuisine, visiting historical landmarks or engaging with locals.
