Partner Joseph Oates joins his colleagues at CooperBurnett to send everyone the firm's 'warmest Christmas wishes':
"It’s been said a million times but this has been an extremely challenging year. As a firm, we have been grateful to our team for embracing everything which 2020 has thrown at us and for continuing to support our clients – and each other – while juggling a myriad of other challenges, including home-schooling and vulnerable relatives. Our team has been quick-thinking, flexible and kind.
Our clients – many of whom have been dealing with huge challenges at work or in their personal life - have been both understanding and supportive. We’ve all got used to Zoom or Teams meetings being interrupted by children, pets and Amazon deliveries! Nothing, though, is quite the same as sitting across the desk from a client or visiting their premises and we look forward to enjoying that personal interaction again, at some point.
Over the past nine months, we have been touched by how our wider community has come together. Whether outside supporting NHS and keyworkers on a Thursday night or delivering food packages to vulnerable neighbours.
This Christmas will be quieter than usual for the majority of us, but we hope you are able to enjoy a restful and safe festive period. Our very best wishes for Christmas and a peaceful New Year."
