The 10km sponsored walk around the town is being led by Lord Justice Males and Lord Justice Newey.
Taking place on Wednesday 28 June, the walk will raise vital funds for the provision of free legal advice in Tunbridge Wells, with 100% of the funds raised going directly to Citizens Advice in North & West Kent.
Partner Gemma Gillespie volunteers for Citizens Advice in Tunbridge Wells, offering advice on family matters. The charity, which recently moved to new offices in Tunbridge Wells, gives people ‘the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem’. Its service is free, confidential, independent and impartial.
“The Tunbridge Wells Legal Walk always provides a great way to meet up with others in our legal community, while raising money for Citizens Advice, which provides vital support to so many,” says John Spence, Partner at CooperBurnett LLP and President of the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & District Law Society.
States LLST: “Demand for legal advice services has risen dramatically over the past year. The rising cost of living has heaped immense pressure on legal advice agencies, who are struggling to cope with such unprecedented demand. We believe everybody should be able to receive legal advice when they need it most.”
The walk will begin and end at The Old Auction House on The Pantiles.
