Talking Gardens of Kent is a series of private tours around three unique gardens in Kent, providing a rare opportunity to gain insights from each garden keeper/owner, as they recount the journey of transforming these gardens into the extraordinary spaces they are today.
In addition to Riverhill, you can also book tours of Doddington Place Gardens, near Sittingbourne, and Mount Ephraim Gardens, near Faversham.
The tour of Riverhill Gardens will take place on the afternoon of Friday 23 May. Ed Rogers, owner of Riverhill House and Estate, will be the host for this exclusive tour—an experience he rarely offers. The Rogers family has called Riverhill home since 1840 and, today, three generations live on the estate. Spanning over 12 acres, the historic gardens feature striking contemporary sculptures, scenic woodland paths and breathtaking views, with plenty of benches for peaceful contemplation.
“Kent has a deserved reputation as ‘the garden of England’ and Talking Gardens of Kent offers the opportunity to visit three of its most beautiful private spaces,” says Gemma Gillespie, Partner, CooperBurnett. “We are proud to supporting the work of Hospices of Hope through the sponsorship of the Riverhill Gardens event and I am looking forward to seeing the gardens for myself.”
Proceeds from these events will benefit Hospices of Hope’s vital work supporting the development of palliative and end-of-life care across South and East Europe. Its vision is ‘for all patients suffering from terminal or life-limiting illness to receive specialist hospice care so that they can live and die with dignity and without pain’.
