The St George's Day Concert in Tonbridge on Saturday 20 April, in aid of the Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells Dementia Friendly Communities (DFC) raised £2,187.30 - enough to fund three memory cafes, a carer support group and a music group, every month for the next year.
CooperBurnett was proud to support the event once again and Katie Hancock, an Associate Solicitor in our Private Client team – and a Dementia Friends Ambassador - volunteered on the night. CooperBurnett was the first business in Tunbridge Wells to officially be named as ‘dementia friendly’.
The concert featured The Royal Tunbridge Wells Orpheus Male Voice Choir and the Tonbridge Community Singers and featured a variety of music, from classical tunes to songs from the shows. As ever, there was a rousing finale.
It was a fantastic evening; thanks, particularly, to Christine Parker for everything she does for our local dementia community.
