Following the sad news about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the team behind the Walk Tonbridge Festival, in conjunction with our team at CooperBurnett LLP, had some big decisions to make. However, it has been decided to press on with this year’s Festival, albeit with some adjustments to the programme, particularly as all profits are being donated to the local foodbank in Tonbridge, Sustain.
The Walk Tonbridge Festival launched on the morning of Saturday 10 September with a walk entitled ‘The Sunrise Social’. This meant an early start for walkers, who met in the carpark at The Bell in Golden Green at 6.00am. The group set off across dark fields – led by James Pavlou from Walk Tonbridge and Carla Loveday from CooperBurnett - and enjoyed a five-mile walk which featured barn owls, sheep and beautiful views of the River Medway and across the countryside. The highlight was seeing the sunrise across orchards brimming with dew-covered apples. Also walking from CooperBurnett were Partner Victoria Sampson and Trainee Solicitor Imogen Fleur.
The Walk Tonbridge Festival is on for the next two weeks and features a variety of walks. Visit: www.walktonbridge.co.uk/walktonbridgefestival to find out more.
