Three years ago, our Corporate team, led by partners Victoria Sampson and Andrew Hawkins, advised the shareholders of Godstone-based Regency Design & Print on an equity release and investment to fund the company’s growth plans
Regency is a designer and manufacturer of printed materials for the beverage equipment and retail point-of-sale sector. Founded in 1986, the company boasts a longstanding customer list which includes Coca Cola Enterprises and Lucozade Ribena Suntory.
Since lockdown, Regency says that it hasn’t been business as usual but rather ‘business as unusual’ and the company had to ‘reimagine the future’.
As the company explains: “Within days we had repurposed our design, production and manufacturing into producing tens of thousands of reusable Cat 1 Face Visors to meet some of the shortfall in PPE that was leaving our healthcare workers exposed.”
“Our designers also put their focus into developing well designed, functional products that will help to protect people from Covid-19 and other contagious infections which look set to become part of our daily lives, especially in the key area of hand hygiene.”
The touchless hand sanitiser – like the CooperBurnett version – can be branded, is battery-operated and dispenses 1.5ml of sanitiser per hand detected. It is lightweight, yet robust and sturdy and, importantly, easy to clean.
“We are delighted with our wonderful new hand sanitiser – a huge thank you to Regency for branding it for us,” says Victoria Sampson, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial Services at CooperBurnett. “Lockdown has been a huge challenge to so many of our clients but it’s been great to see how adaptable and flexible companies like Regency have been and in such a short space of time.”
