In addition to being part of the charity committee, Katie and Lisa have taken on their fair share of charity challenges over the years. Lisa was part of the team which completed the Three Peaks challenge in 24 hours in 2016, and she also took part in a 26-mile Walkathon for the hospice charity ellenor, walking from central London to Gravesend.
Katie, on the other hand, is not only an accomplished marathon runner, and also took part in the Three Peaks 24 hour challenge and the Walkathon, but was a member of our team which cycled from London to Paris in 24 hours last year, raising money for Brain Tumour Research in memory of her cousin, Oli Hilsdon.
Associate Licensed Conveyancer Lisa joined our Residential Property team in 2015, having worked as a conveyancer in East Sussex for ten years. She qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2015 and deals with all aspects of conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold transactions, re-mortgages, lease extensions and transfers of equity.
Associate Solicitor, Katie, is an integral part of our Corporate and Commercial team. She graduated from Oxford University in 2009 with a degree in French and Portuguese and then embarked on a career in law. She joined us in 2015 and, the following year, was awarded the accolade of Junior Lawyer of the Year by Kent Law Society.
Katie advises clients on all aspects of company and commercial matters, working closely with Victoria Sampson and Andrew Hawkins on transactions.
“We continue to be very proud of the number of our team members who join CooperBurnett and forge their careers with us,” says Victoria. “Over the past five years, both Lisa and Katie have not only made a real impact in the teams they work within but have brought our firm together to raise vital funds for our chosen charities through charity challenges and events.”
