We Are Delighted To Reveal That The Final Total For The Mammoth London To Paris Charity Cycle Ride Is An Incredible £22,000

We are delighted to reveal that the final total for the mammoth London to Paris charity cycle ride is an incredible £22,000. The money raised is being donated to the charity Brain Tumour Research in memory of Oli Hilsdon, cousin of our colleague Katie Hilsdon, who died in January from a brain tumour aged just 26.

Five team members from CooperBurnett – Victoria Sampson, Joseph Oates, John Spence, Katie Hilsdon and Gareth Warner – successfully cycled 300km from London to Paris at the beginning of May in just 24 hours in dreadful weather conditions, which included almost constant rain and wind, as well as hailstorms and sleet. 

Brain Tumour Research funds sustainable research at Research Centres of Excellence in the UK; it also campaigns for the Government and the larger cancer charities to invest more in research into brain tumours in order to speed up new treatments for patients and, ultimately, to find a cure. The charity is calling for an annual spend of £35 million in order to improve survival rates and patient outcomes in line with other cancers such as breast cancer and leukaemia.
